Plano Metropolitan Ballet (PMB), founded in 1987, is a not-for-profit ballet company located in Plano, Texas, that strives to provide affordable, high-quality dance performances to the local community while instilling a love of dance in its members. PMB is made up of over 45 dedicated dancers from ages 10 to 18, while the Junior Company is comprised of nearly 40 dancers ages eight to 12. All dancers must successfully complete an audition to become a member. Each year Plano Met performs an original fairy-tale ballet and hosts the Plano Dance Festival in addition to participating in other performances and outreach initiatives.

In addition to regular ballet and pointe classes, Plano Met and Junior Company dancers each attend company rehearsals once a week. PMB dancers receive inspiration from visiting master instructors, guest artists, and the company’s own dedicated choreographers. Plano Metropolitan Ballet is under the artistic direction of Cindi Lawrence Hanson, and its members train and study at Gotta Dance.
